So sleepy for some reason all day... Think my body is still in Thanksgiving mode!!

What a weekend

This weekend went by really fast it seems but I had a ton of fun and relaxation. The only downer was Jaci having bad toothache but we will get that fixed up next week hopefully. Luckily I took out the "high" use dental on my insurance in case something like this happened so we have $1500 to use per person with no deductible. I'll definitely take that next year too.

What a letdown

I thought all night yesterday and a good part of this morning that it was Friday. Imagine the string of expletives that came from my mouth when I realized it was merely Thursday.

FDA calls 7 caffeine-alcohol drinks unsafe - CNN.com

Washington (CNN) -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration told the manufacturers of seven caffeinated alcoholic beverages Wednesday that their drinks are a "public health concern" and can't stay on the market in their current form.

The move follows a year-long review by the FDA, which gave the companies 15 days to either reformulate their products or face possible seizure under federal law, said Dr. Joshua Sharfstein, the agency's principal deputy commissioner. Experts have said the caffeine used in the beverages can mask the effects of alcohol, leaving drinkers unaware of how intoxicated they are.

Cold

I hope it stays cold for a good long while. Not only am I a huge fan of the cold, but my electric bill drops by 2/3 to 1/2 in the winter.

Crippled cruise ship expected in San Diego on Thursday - CNN.com

(CNN) -- Thousands of passengers on a crippled cruise ship being towed to San Diego, California, will disembark Thursday with personal tales from a three-day ordeal that left them without air conditioning and hot showers.

Or a decent meal: Their diet became Spam and Pop Tarts rather than steak and chocolate mousse.

And while Carnival Cruise Lines said Wednesday that most passengers knew that the Carnival Splendor's crew was doing the best it could, there were reports of passengers pledging not to take up the company's offer of a free replacement trip.

The vessel, which became stranded Monday after an engine-room fire off the coast of Mexico, is expected to arrive early Thursday, Carnival Cruise Lines CEO Gerry Cahill said at a news conference.

Because the ship is without most of its power, the company decided to wait until daylight for five tugboats to deliver the Splendor to a dock, probably around midday, Cahill said.

Nearly 4,500 people, including crew, are on board.

WOW, I really hope these people either got their trip refunded, or a free cruise whenever they want. Pretty crazy.

Lunch

Is it just me or is it extremely hard to go back to work after lunch? I just have no drive for probably the first hour after lunch to do anything. I mean I do stuff but I just really don't want to. You should have two hours of lunch so that you can eat and take a nap and then come back to work. But I would not want to work an extra hour, we would just get that time off also.

Feeling better

Not puking this morning so that is a plus. Have to go to work, so that's a minus. It's Wednesday so that's a plus and a minus. Pretty much an even day.

Pixi's toy

This is my dogs favorite toy. I've never seen a girl dog hump, but mine humps this and only this so by far it is her favorite.

Puke

Came home from work and started feeling sick to my stomach then started puking. It was weird. Still feel nauseous but I don't think I'll puke again.

Had fish sticks for lunch but that was about 5 hours before I got home... And I had a whatchamacallit candy bar for the first time at work so I am going to go with that.

And the verdict is...

Sleepy! That's what I am after lunch.

Good mood

Woke up today in an amazing mood. So far it's held strong. We will see after lunch!!

Monday, Monday, Monday

Gosh this weekend flew by. It was nice, lots of movies and cleaning house and cooking burgers. Even though it was an hour longer than normal it felt 12 hours shorter.

Cooking out

Cooking some delicious burgers today. Trying to perfect the juicy lucy - a burger that you cook with cheese in the middle. It isn't too terribly hard, but it's real easy to make the burger undercooked. And man are they delicious.

Top gun

I am only about 24 years too late but I am about to watch top gun for the first time. Here we go!

Friday + headache = no bueno

Loving that it's Friday... Not loving the huge headache I have. How can anyone have a headache on a Friday? Its just un-American.

Volcano

So there is a volcano in Indonesia that have killed over 44 people so far that is terrible. I can't believe that volcanoes are still as bad today as they always have been. I don't mean that to sound like we are better than volcanoes or that they are less deadly, but just that I would think our preparation for a volcano eruption would be better. That said my heart goes out to all of the families that have been through this horrible tragedy.

The undefeated - who is it?

Looks like Rick Perry is still undefeated in any election he has ever run in. He was facing the also undefeated Bill White who is now a loser for the first time.

Also the republicans take the house and the democrats take the senate.

Let's get more republicans in there to oppose the dumb ass ideas our president is putting forth into this country.

Cold and rainy

I Iove it!!! Maybe we should move to Seattle? Or London.

Weird

So now that I work for a successful abrasives company I often see things in a different light. Like for instance I just drove by a FedEx truck and I was wondering if it had a giant bonded wheel on there or not. Or the other day I was watching TV and I saw a commercial with a guy who was cutting a car in half with a portable handheld saw and I was wondering if the blade was one of ours or not. It's weird but it's just the way of life.

Come and gone

The season is over for the rangers now but it was one heck of a run. Makes me real excited for next year, though! Now time for bed.

Work

Today has been pretty good for a Monday. I say that but now I am going back to work so I have the whole other half of the day ahead of me so we will see I guess!

Tonight

I know that I've had a lot of post about the Rangers lately but that's kind of the biggest thing that's happening in my life right now! That can be taken as a sad fact or an exciting fact because it is really cool that the Rangers are in the World Series. But now it is do or die time for them because if they lose tonight then that's it but at least I can say I went to a World Series game were they won Heck yeah I go rangers!!
